Nvidia Project Shield First Thoughts (CES 2013) NVIDIA surprised everyone at CES 2013 with the unveiling of the Shield gaming controller and console. While it's definitely different, and unlike anything else we've ever seen from the company, I'm just not sure exactly what niche it is meant to fill, and if it's even one that need to be filled.
