PlayStation 4 Announced - Full Recap The next PlayStation will arrive this holiday season. At an event in New York on Wednesday, Sony unveiled exactly what it meant by "the future" of the PlayStation brand. While we didn't see any actual hardware (aside from that controller we've already seen), the company did reveal a snippet of specs. From what we saw, the PlayStation 4 is a beast. Along with an actual reveal, Sony also paraded developers onstage to show off footage of a few upcoming games—Killzone, Infamous, The Witness, Drive Club, Final Fantasy and more. But a lineup of games was only the half of Sony's event; the company also talked about built-in Remote Play, cloud technology and interesting suspend/resume functionality.
